With the countdown until New Zealand’s biggest winter festival well underway, it’s hard to contain our excitement. Get amongst the winter action and celebrate the opening of the ski fields the best way possible- at the 2019 Real Journeys Queenstown Winter Festival (It’s all happening here in Queenstown from 20-23 June).

We’ve rounded up our top pick of events happening at this year’s Winter-Fest you won’t want to miss.

1) Silent Disco Dancing Tour

Daily 11.30am – 12.30pm and 1.30pm – 2.30pm

Have you ever experienced a silent disco? Introducing Queenstown’s very first Silent Disco Dancing Tour. It seems that silent discos have become all the rage lately and we can’t wait to hit Queenstown’s streets busting a few moves. Don’t worry, they’ll supply the headphones, you will just need to bring along your dance moves and get into the winter-fest spirit.

2) Trinity Roots & Ladi6

6:00pm-9:00 Thursday, June 20, 2019
We couldn’t think of a better way to kickstart the first night of winter-fest. Legendary Dub and roots band, Trinity Roots and soul & hip-hop artist, Ladi-6, will take to Bathhouse Stage for a spectacular night of swaying tunes.

All Ages FREE Event.

3) Comedy Night

8:00pm Thursday, June 20, 2019

If you haven’t secured your tickets yet, you better get in quick because Comedy Night is a guaranteed sell-out every year. Bringing together a stellar line-up of New Zealand’s comedy favourites, including: Jeremy Corbett, Hayley Sproull, Mel Bracewell, Cori Gonzales-Macuer, Dai Henwood & Paul Ego. With a comedic line-up like this, a healthy dose of belly-aching laughter is guaranteed.

4) Mountain Festival Village – Various Events

10:00- 4:00pm Friday, June 21, 2019

Cardrona Alpine Resort will be the place to be on Friday, with a number of antic-fuelled events happening at The Mountain Festival Village throughout the course of the day. Whether it’s Tug O’ War on Skis, Suitcase Racing or Snow Tubing, the village will be bustling with fun, entertainment and lots of laughter for both spectators and participants.

5) Real Journey Fireworks

7:00pm Friday, June 21, 2019

It wouldn’t be the Winter Festival without a spectacular fireworks display lighting up Queenstown’s night sky. Lucky for you if you’re staying in one of our Mountain view or Lakeview rooms, take our word for it that these room boasts some of the best snap-worthy views in town. All you need now is room service on dial and let the celebrations begin!
