1# AJ Hackett Kawarau Bungy

Dubbed as the birthplace of Bungy Jumping, thrill seekers won’t want to miss the chance to “tick” off this bucket list moment. Experience a pulse of adrenaline as you free-fall 43m from the Historic Kawarau River Bridge. If bunging jumping isn’t your cup of tea, you can always spectate from the side line and watch brave thrill-seekers take the leap of faith.

2# Tiki Trail to Skyline Gondola

With the winter chill coming to an ease, why not take the alternative route and walk up to the Skyline Gondola look out point. The Tiki Trail starts at the Gondola base and winds through pines trees and over mountain biking trails up to the summit. The walk time is 1-2 hours return- It’s best to allow sometime time to admire the top notch views and sneak in a cheeky luge ride or maybe five.

Biking Queenstown

3# Trail Queenstown by Bike

For the ultimate adrenalin-pumping biking experience, Queenstown is home to the Southern Hemisphere’s only gondola-accessed downhill mountain Bike Park, which opens for the season in late September. For those who prefer biking without the ‘extreme’ sports aspect, and perhaps with an e-bike to help things along, it’s the perfect time to explore the Queenstown Trail. With over 120 km of relatively flat and easy trails, enjoy spectacular scenery and classic springtime views with sprouting wildflowers, lush green pastures and dazzling displays of cherry blossoms.

Gibbston Valley Winery

4# Visit the Gibbston Valley

Queenstown is ringed by mountains interlaced with award-winning vineyards, so you’ll be spoiled for choice for wine experiences. Immerse yourself in a sensory experience at Gibbston Valley’s wine cave before raising a glass to Central Otago wines at Waitiri Creek’s gorgeous white church. If craft beer is more your thing, swap your pinot for a pint at Canyon Food & Co or Searchlight Brewery.
